Any regular commuter will know that it can be a difficult decision to take on how to get to work in the North of England and Leeds. The UK Jobs Guide is a great indicator of where the work is and Leeds is full of opportunities for jobs – the question is how you actually get to that job.
Buses are often late and yet they provide a very cost–effective and flexible way of getting around the city, especially if you take advantage of a bus card which allows you to travel as much as you want for a set price.
Train is also an option depending on where you live and you can also find some good deals, although many people find that there are often delays on the train system and they are also sometimes overcrowded especially at rush hour.
You could, of course, decide on a more eco friendly and definitely cheaper option – walking if the distance is not too far or taking a bike to work. This has many benefits such as keeping you fit and healthy, although it does take a longer chunk out of your day.
Then there is the option of taking your car to work although this is the one option that is the most expensive and is the most harmful to the planet.
